SHAREHOLDER SITE VISIT NO. 1/2019
On June 19, 2019, Gulf hosted the annual shareholder site visit led by Ms. Yupapin Wangviwat, Executive Director. We welcomed 80 shareholders to visit our power plant, Gulf JP UT (GUT), in Uthai district, Ayutthaya province. GUT is one of the largest independent power producers (IPP) in Thailand.
For the morning session, Ms. Yupapin gave an introduction to Gulf’s overall business structure and strategy for future projects, as well as answered inquiries from shareholders. After this session, shareholders were taken on a tour around the power plant, guided by our engineering team. After lunch, each shareholder then participated in the Company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities along with Gulf’s management and employees. The CSR project was developed by the Company’s employees under the Zero Waste concept. On the whole, the electricity generation process does not produce a lot of waste, but on the other hand, a large quantity of non-toxic sediments is filtered out during the water treatment process. With our efforts, we now recycle the sediment to create fertilizer blocks and bricks to use for tree-plantings in CSR activities.
