SHAREHOLDER SITE VISIT NO. 2/2018
On Thursday, June 21, 2018, the Company’s management and employees, led by Ms. Yupapin Wangviwat, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer, Mr. Boonchai Thirati, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. Kochai Likitanusit, Executive Vice President – Asset Management Group, accompanied a group of 70 shareholders and interested investors on a visit to the Gulf JP UT (GUT) power plant, a major IPP in Thailand, located in Uthai district, Ayutthaya province.
In the morning, the group listened to a presentation given by senior management about Gulf’s overall business and how power plants work, then participated in a tour of the GUT power plant. In the afternoon, the group listened to a presentation about how to produce organic fertilizer from the sediments filtered out of the water at the power plants, an initiative developed under the Company’s Zero Waste strategy which encourages turning by-products from the electricity generation process into useful products for the community. The group, along with the management and employees of the Company, joined together to help make a batch of fertilizer bricks and test out the fertilizer on the trees grown in the power plant’s greenspace.
